The CRC/RCA day of joint worship and synod meetings made the front pages of the Grand Rapids Press. Many of us have referred to this occassion as historic and gratifying. This afternoon, though, in our small group, we were reminded that there are some, maybe many, among us who are mistifyed by all this. One pastor shared that he had come into the RCA seven years ago as a planter and is trying to figure out what all this is about. It was good to hear. It means we are changing, growing, not only numerically but culturally. Praise God for those who don't know our history and are wondering at the idea that the Reformed and Christian Reformed Churches could be so disparate. Thank you, Lord, that we not only drawing closer together, but that we have those who don't even understand what it was all about in the first place.
